TL Ventures Joins Venrock Associates to Close $11.2 Million Series A Funding for Atrenta Inc.

San Jose, CALIFORNIA - January 7, 2002 - Atrenta Inc., a pioneer in predictive analysis tools, today announced the second closing of Series A $11.2 million equity investment. Venrock Associates and TL Ventures, two of the most established venture capital firms in the U.S., co-led the round. Concurrent with this round of financing, Massoud Entekhabi from TL Ventures will join Atrenta's board of directors comprising of Brian Ascher of Venrock Associates, Mike Hackworth, chairman of Cirrus Logic, and Ajoy Bose, CEO of Atrenta. The funding will allow Atrenta to expand its research and development capabilities and enlarge its marketing, technical support and sales force. Atrenta's SpyGlass suite of tools accelerates design of electronic circuits and semiconductors with a novel predictive analysis technique, which enforces downstream requirements upfront and minimizes design iterations.
